Gobinda Chowdhury

Gobinda Chowdhury is a Professor of Information Science in the Department of Computer & Information Sciences, University of Strathclyde, UK.  He has been involved in teaching and research in Information Science for over 25 years and has taken senior management positions at universities in UK and Australia.  Professor Chowdhury’s research focuses on digital libraries and information services trying to understand how people access and use information and data in different contexts. Recent research includes information systems and services for addressing the global challenges such as the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Julien Roche

Julien Roche served as Director of the libraries at the University of Lille – Sciences and Technologies from 2005 to 2018. Following a merger of Lille’s three public universities he became, in March 2018, director of libraries at the newly enlarged University of Lille. In July 2018, he was also elected as LIBER (Association of European Research Libraries) Vice-President and was approved, in July 2022, as LIBER President.

Serap Kurbanoglu

Professor in the Department of Information Management, Hacettepe University, Türkiye.  She has been publishing and lecturing on information literacy, research data management as well as green libraries. She was involved in and also administered multi-national research projects carried out in more than 15 countries such as Information Literacy Skills of LIS Students, and Copyright Literacy Skills of LIS Professional. She served as the chair of EUCLID (The European Association for Library and Information Education and Research) during 2014-2016. She is experienced in organizing professional conferences both on national and international scales such as ECIL and IMCW. She has co-organized BOBCATSSS 2013 in Ankara.

Mia H. Mathiasson

Mia H. Mathiasson is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Media, Design, and Educational Science at the University of Southern Denmark, where she teaches at the BA in Library Science. She is currently connected to the research project UPSCALE: Upscaling sustainable collaborative consumption using public libraries, funded by the Norwegian Research Council and the PubLIB for Immigrants & Refugees research group. Her research interests cover the social and societal role of public libraries, especially concerning sustainability and social inclusion, as well as the proactive roles of librarians in sustainable development processes.

Patrícia Pereira da Silva

Associate Professor with Habilitation at the University of Coimbra’s Faculty of Economics. Faculty member of the MIT-P Program and the UC Energy for Sustainability Initiative (EfS). Counselor in the Environment and Sustainable Development National Council (CNADS). Founder of the Portuguese Affiliate of the International Association for Energy Economics (APEEN). Currently, renewable energy, energy markets and economics, sustainability, and finance are areas of focus for research. Pro-Rector at the University of Coimbra mandates 2019-2023 (Strategic Planning) and 2023-2027 (Strategic Planning and Sustainability).
